At the heart of Resilience is our Attitude and ultimately knowing that we have a choice about our mind-set towards life’s events.
The Stoic Philosopher Epictetus (c.AD 55 - 135 AD) is often cited with their observation that it will be the “meaning we attach to events” that will be our undoing, rather than the events themselves.
Having specialised in Resilience, since 2012, I have also added my own observation that instead of talking about “bouncing back”, I prefer to highlight that we must learn from our experiences to build our Resilience and then “spring forward”.

Linked to your overall health and well-being and also how energised or de-energised you are thinking or feeling about everything that is happening and you have to achieve.
How we describe events that happen to ourselves and others – the “stories” of our lives.
The people that you have in your life and how they either contribute positively or negatively.
This is about your “reason why”. Either something bigger picture around your reason for being or more simply, what goals/outcomes are you working towards.
In its simplest sense - the balance between your positive and negative thoughts and feelings about yourself.
How you approach change and how much you see change as an opportunity.
