Podcast launch! How to build your Resilience.

I’m really excited to launch the first Series of my new Podcast which is, funnily enough, all about - How to build your Resilience.

The idea of the podcast is hopefully like Ronseal (it does what it says on the tin)!

Why am I doing this?

I would simply like to share a load of content with you all that will support you to build your Resilience. There is also a slant towards the Resilient Leader angle as well. So think of it as a raft of ideas and tips on how to Lead yourself and others differently (and hopefully better) so that you can recover from life’s and work’s challenges, as well as build up your levels of Resilience; in order to give yourself the best opportunity to be Thriving, rather than just coping and surviving.

There will be 10 Episodes, outlined below, however, before I tell you about those I would very much like to thank Steve Twynham from Yowah Radio for just being an all-round great human and enabling the podcast to happen, so much more easily than I thought it would be! A superb example of having someone like him in your Support Network (Episode 6).

Series 1 - The Episodes

  • Ep 1 - What is Resilience?

    • There can be a lot of misconceptions about this eg keeping going regardless, which Resilience isn’t. It is far more about recovery, learning, playing to your Strengths and being Optimistic.

  • Ep 2 - Attitude - the heart of Resilience

    • Our underlying beliefs and values and our “settled way” of thinking and feeling about life. Oh and listen out for what it has to do with Pineapples……?!?

  • Ep 3 - Purpose - what gets you out of bed every day?

    • My Purpose is to “positively affect 100 000 people by the year 2025” - listen in to find out more

  • Ep 4 - Confidence - outlining 5 ways to achieve this

    • There is so much great research on how to build this - you’ll need a mixture of imagination, reflective repetition and chats with friends

  • Ep 5 - Adaptability - a really key aspect of Resilience

    • What’s the difference between adaptability and agility? Also, how can you become a 33 percenter?

  • Ep 6 - Support Network - finding the right mixture

    • This is all about understanding who you are spending time with and the impact they have upon you

  • Ep 7 - Meaning - the stories we tell ourselves

    • We all have “self-talk” and this is about noticing the memories we are creating about our life’s experiences and how to ensure they are helpful

  • Ep 8 - Energy - a huge part of this is about our Strengths

    • Do you know your Circadian Rhythms? Your Strengths? Your Preferences?

  • Ep 9 - Resilience Strengths

    • There are 5 of them!

  • Ep 10 - Resilience and Change

    • We live in a crazy world (VUCA!) -your Resilience and your approach to change are intertwined

I really appreciate you listening in and letting me know what impact they are having….

Best wishes

Russell
